Disorienting Grenades

Disorienting grenades, often referred to as “stun grenades” or “flashbangs,” are non-lethal devices used by military and law enforcement personnel to incapacitate adversaries temporarily. Their primary function is to create sensory overload, giving operators a tactical edge during high-stakes missions.

Bravo Battery, 5th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division held their annual chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear training on Fort Polk.

Disorienting grenades exemplify the balance between force and restraint in modern military tactics. By incapacitating without lethality, they provide an essential tool for safeguarding lives while neutralizing threats effectively.

This versatile tool continues to be a cornerstone of tactical operations, proving that sometimes, a flash and a bang can make all the difference.
